Boater's Launch at Topsail Island

Departing: Greystone Baptist Church parking lot promptly at 3pm on November 11th, 2005
Returning: Around 4pm to Greystone Baptist Church on November 13th, 2005
Activities: Cooking, first-aid, and fishing.
Cost: For Troop members, $25 per person; for our Webelos Guests and their parents, food costs as computed at departure.

Pre-Trip Checklist

In preparation for this trip, please follow this checklist:

  1. Confirm your attendance with the Scoutmasters
  2. Complete, with your parent or guardian, an emergency medical treatment form, if you have not completed one or if your current one is more than one year old
  3. Have your parent or guardian sign the permission slip
  4. No later than 31-October-2005, turn in your emergency medical treatment form (if applicable), signed permission slip, and the activity fee
  5. Pack your gear for a two-night car camping trip, including food.
    • You do not need to pack your backpack; instead, a duffle bag lined with a garbage bag will work perfectly.
    • Bring a daypack that has enough volume to carry water, poncho, first aid kit, compass, and other optional items for the hike.
    • The Troop will provide each patrol with enough tents; each member (or the Patrol as a whole) must pack everything else.
    • The activities this weekend will absolutely require you to bring mess kit, first aid kit, compass, etc.
    • Remember you will need to have a Patrol-wide meal plan in place for 5 meals.
