Fleming Cabin Weekender

Destination: Fleming Cabin, Tarboro NC (weather forecast)
Departing: We will depart Greystone Baptist Church no later than Friday, January 20th, at 4pm
Returning: We will return Sunday, January 22nd around 4pm
Activities: Rifle shooting, fire building using primitive methods, orienteering, and rope bridge building
Cost: $25 per person

Pre-Trip Checklist

In preparation for this trip, please follow this checklist:

  1. Confirm your attendance with the Scoutmasters
  2. Complete, with your parent or guardian, an emergency medical treatment form, if you have not completed one or if your current one is more than one year old
  3. Have your parent or guardian sign the permission slip
  4. No later than 9-January-2005, turn in your emergency medical treatment form (if applicable), signed permission slip, and the activity fee
  5. Pack your gear for an overnight camping trip, including food.
    • You do not need to pack your backpack; instead, a duffle bag lined with a garbage bag will work perfectly.
    • The Troop will provide each patrol with enough tents; each member (or the Patrol as a whole) must pack everything else.
    • Remember you will need to have a Patrol-wide meal plan in place for 6 meals.
