Pre-Trip Checklist

In preparation for this trip, please follow this checklist:

Confirm your attendance with the Scoutmasters
Complete, with your parent or guardian, an emergency medical treatment form, if you have not completed one or if your current one is more than one year old
Have your parent or guardian sign the permission slip
No later than Mon, 1 March 2010, turn in your emergency medical treatment form (if applicable), signed permission slip, and the activity fee

This is a mandatory outing for newly elected or appointed PLC members.
Pack your gear for a 3-day trip, including all essential items (flash light, first aid kit, water, compass, etc) and suitable clothes for indoor and outdoor activities.

Follow I-40 East, toward Wilmington
Take exit #398 for NC 53, toward Topsail Island
Come to flashing light, turn right onto NC 50
Follow NC 50 to R-Mart, where NC 50 turns right
Continue on NC 50 to NC 17, turn left onto NC 17 toward Topsail Island
After about 3 miles, you will pass the Folkstone township marker; make the next right onto Old Folkstone Rd.
Come to intersection with NC 210, turn right -- a Food Lion will be on your right
Follow NC 210 over arch bridge, then turn left after crossing bridge onto New River Inlet Rd. -- City Hall is on your left
After about 2 miles, turn left onto Bay Ct.
Dr. Brewer's Cabin is directly in front of you
