Troop 388 Knife Use Policy

You may not carry or use any knife, on any Troop 388 outing or activity, unless you have met the following requirements:

  1. Earned and received the rank of Second Class.
  2. Earned the Totin' Chip as outlined by Troop 388.

Any knife you carry must be approved by the Scoutmaster or an Assistant Scoutmaster. Only approved knives are allowed to be brought or used on any troop activity.

If, for any reason, you bring or use a knife on any outing and have not met the above criteria, the knife will be confiscated, held for the duration of the outing or activity, and afterwards returned to your parents or the knife's proper owner.

If you twice violate this policy, you will not be eligible for advancement at the next Board of Review, and you will be banned from the next three (3) outings.

There are NO exceptions to this policy.

I, , a Scout in Troop 388, do hereby understand, accept, and promise to adhere to the Troop 388 Knife Use Policy as outlined above, and which may be revised from time to time. I also understand, accept, and agree to the consequences of failing to follow this policy.
